Included In All Studio Portrait Pricing Shoots
* Full-Size Select Images – These are fine-tuned in Capture One images are cropped, exposure corrections individually adjusted, and obvious spots removed.
** Retouched Images – These are taken into Photoshop where I apply a subtle and natural-looking process to the image. Eyes are sharpened, skin is lightly smoothed, fly-away hairs are removed, and eye bags lightened. Colour grading can also be applied at this stage to create a specific vibe for the image.
PLEASE NOTE – PR and corporate portraiture work will cost a bit more than the above prices and will be quoted on a job-by-job basis.
Commercial Photography Rates
Every commercial photography project is different so I can’t provide packaged prices as per the portraits above. However, you have budgets and need to know roughly what the photography is going to cost.
Speaking as someone who has purchased creative content from photographers and designers in a past I know an accurate brief is vital. A well-written brief and detailed shot list is your best friend when it comes to getting your project costed accurately and delivered as you imagined.
A detailed brief enables me to prepare an estimate based on your specific needs. Projects may need research & planning, acquiring props, figuring out lighting setups, renting equipment, HMUA requirements, styling and post-production.
My hourly rate starts at £85 per hour and goes up to £115 depending on a variety of factors – creative input required, commercial or editorial photography, individual or business, small or large organisation.
Clients usually have unique requirements and therefore require individually tailored quotations. So give me a call or send me an email with an outline of what you require.
A good rule for digital photography is to allow 50% of the shoot time for basic image processing.
i.e an 8 hours shoot will require another 4 hours of processing = 12 hours or 1.5 days.
The day rates below include basic processing. Basic post-processing includes colour balance, exposure corrections, sharpening, noise reduction and creation of online proofing galleries.
IMPORTANT – Masking and white background cut-outs may incur additional charges depending on the number of images required.
Minimum studio booking is 2 hours at £250
Basic HALF DAY rate ( Prep + 4 Hours + 2 Hour Process ) from £500
Basic FULL DAY rate ( Prep + 8 Hour Shoot + 5 Hour Process) from £1000
Complex projects with several days of shooting will receive a discounted day rate. Image licensing may also be required for certain work.
